Whether you are seeking support in reinvigorating your relationship with hope and enhanced communication OR navigating through the complexities of divorce, Blossom Family Mediations is here to assist and guide you through the family mediation process. We understand every family's needs are different and we approach each case with a tailored approach to ensure you have the tools and support needed to create actionable agreements so that you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Marital mediation is a guided process in which a neutral third party helps couples identify, discuss and collaboratively resolve issues in their relationship. Unlike counseling, which often focuses on healing, mediation concentrates on helping couples work through specific conflicts to reach actionable agreements. Couples can find new ways to understand + communicate with one another, resolve issues, and even rediscover hope for their relationship. Some reconcile and pursue renewed intimacy, while others use the process to clarify their next steps - which could be working toward healing or making an informed decision to separate or part ways. Regardless of outcome, the mediation process consistently empowers couples to engage with one another and make decisions with clarity, compassion, and structure.
We work with couples who are struggling with conflict and want to find clarity, resolution, and a renewed sense of hope. Through mediation, we offer structured support to help couples navigate challenging conversations, learn news ways to communicate in a loving and productive manner, and gain clarity so that each party can feel empowered to make decisions around what is next for the relationship.
Making the decision to divorce or separate can be one of the most difficult choices you face. It can leave you feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and the overall process can often be very confusing. How will this impact the kids? Where will I live? How long will this take? How much will it cost me?
Divorce mediation provides a supportive, guided option to navigate the many challenging topics and decisions that arise during separation. With the help of a neutral third party, couples explore available options, collaborate to reach amicable agreements, and often can avoid the stress and expense of litigation. Mediation creates a structured and respectful environment to address issues such as dividing property and assets, child and spousal support, and parenting or child time-sharing plans. At Blossom Family Mediations, we recognize that every family’s situation is unique, which is why we take a tailored approach to ensure you feel informed, empowered, and confident in the decisions you make about your future.
Benefits of Divorce Mediation:
Marital Mediation and Marital Counseling both support couples, but they serve very different purposes and outcomes. Marital Mediation is goal focused and decision oriented, while Marital Counseling is therapeutic and emotion focused.
In short, mediation helps couples decide what to do next, while counseling helps couples understand why they feel the way they do.

The mediation process allows parties to control the outcomes and reach agreements collaboratively without having to 'fight it out' in court. Mediation often saves the parties time and money and can reduce the amount stress typically felt during the long court process.
Litigation is the formal process where disputes are resolved in court by a judge and can be more time-consuming, expensive, and often more adversarial in nature.

Unfortunately, not all issues or disputes can be resolved through mediation. If the parties involved are unable to collaborate or maintain respectful communication throughout the negotiation phase, then mediation will likely hit an impasse.
For Marital Mediation cases this may mean other support is needed, such as Marital Counseling - if trying to heal or save the marriage is desired.
For Divorce Mediation cases that hit an impasse, litigation may be needed.
In addition, mediation may not work in cases that involve domestic violence issues.
